Local brands account for 60% of China's smartphone shipments

"China's total Q3 2012 smartphone shipments exceeded 50 mln units, according to global market research firm Canalys, with domestic brands - including Lenovo, China Wireless Technologies' Coolpad, Huawei, and ZTE - accounting for more than 60%.
Samsung led handset vendors with 14% market share in Q3 2012, followed by Lenovo with 13%, while Coolpad, ZTE and Huawei each had approximately 10%. Apple ranked fifth with 8%."
